Kravice Waterfalls (Kravica) are one of the most famous natural attractions in Herzegovina, located near the town of Ljubuški in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The waterfalls are formed by the Trebižat River, which flows over a wide limestone cliff, creating a semicircular cascade system surrounded by dense vegetation and natural pools.
The main waterfall is about 25–30 meters high and spreads in a broad arc, forming multiple smaller streams that fall into a large emerald-green basin. The area is known for its crystal-clear water, limestone formations, and lush greenery that creates a striking contrast with the dry karst landscape typical of Herzegovina.
Kravice is both a natural monument and a popular recreational site. Visitors come for swimming, picnicking, kayaking in calm sections, and enjoying the cool mist of the falls during hot summer months. Wooden paths, viewpoints, and small cafés allow access while preserving the natural environment.
Beyond tourism, the Kravice system is part of the broader hydrological network of the Trebižat River, which disappears and reappears in karst terrain, feeding multiple waterfalls and wetlands along its course.
