Within the programme of the December Festivities, in the City Culture Centre in Metkovic, the documentary films about the deltas of the Neretva and the Po respectively were shown to the public, under the above title. After that there was a discussion on the topic: “The park of nature in the Neretva delta – What`s your attitude about it?“.
The locals had a chance to meet several representatives of the Italian Regional Park of the Po Delta (www.parcodeltapo.org), which was proclaimed as a park of nature in 1988.
Neretva could become one very soon too, thus some parts would be protected as well. This would help to preserve the natural and cultural values of the area, making it more interesting to numerous tourists. The park of nature would promote the local and the traditional products, including the food products, and for sure it would attract sizeable financial funds.
